| hmm..once again i forgot xanga existed. its almost sad. considering i used to be such a little xanga loser. :) life's been craaazy & busy since school started in what seems oh so long ago. volleyball took up so muchh time. it was so worth it though. we had a greatt season & i loveee my team. my bank-account suffered from never working which was kinda a bummer.. :) BUT, hopefully someday i'll build it back up.. basketball finallllly started. gotta be one of my favorite times of year. i'm especially lookin' forward to the chicago tournament. i'm taking a car load of girls again & we're staying up there for several nights. its gonna be excellent.. just like last year. except more excellent-er. :) a week from tomorrow (being dec. 17th.) i'm having surgery on my mouth. i have several lack of teeth issues that should probably be fixed..i'm not really looking forward to it. its supposed to be like, a five hour surgery & i'm gonna want to stay away from the public eye for a week or so is what i'm told. :) it'll definitely be nice to have it over with though..& i'll get a little longer christmas vacation since ours is basically lame & short this year. well, since mostly i'm using xanga as a diversion from studying for my civics test i should probably juuuust go study. blehhh. | | |
| i think this could easily classify as the [[best summer of my life]]. cHoRaL cAmP was beyond anything i ever imagined it to be. i feel like i have some of the best friends i'll ever have in my life. friends that mean the world to me. that i'd do anything for. i feel like i've grown closer to God & seen a lot of things i need to change. things i'm working on changing. choral camp was honestly the best it's ever been. conference was gReAt! i loved spending more time with my awesome friends from choral camp! we made so many memories & i personally feel incomplete w/out my favorite people. iowa regular baptist camp. i wasn't super excited the first day or two b/c there were seriously like..600 people there & it just seemed really overwhelming! BUT, i started makin' friends & it was awesome! both the morning speaker & the evening speaker were absolutely amazing! God challenged me in so many ways this week. pushing my out of my comfort zone, opening up to people. it was awesome! i've realized how blessed i am to have grown up in a christian home w/ amazing, Godly parents that love me! God was just wonderful & amazing this week! i miss my friends already! i made some awesome ones..our group of me, molls, lys, tyler, & drew are gonna keep in touch & its gonna be amazing! && i'm plannin' on going back next year! :] yayyyy! definitely a great week w/ some awesome people! most of my pictures wouldn't upload..so i'm gonna leave you w/ one & hopefully add more lata!  well i gottaaa go! -kAtE | | |
| heyyya. i really didn't plan on writing anything..or maybe i did..i just don't know what exactly. life's been crazy. good. bad. i leave on sunday for ohio. i'll be a counselor there for two weeks at a music camp. from there, i'll go to pittsburg to see family, & then straight to conference. the day after i get back from conference i'm heading to camp with my friends, lys & molly. its gonna be a stretching summer. but i'm hoping & praying that it'll turn out good. my gramps died a little over a week ago. it was a sad time. he's gonna be missed for sure. good to see all the family again though. my aunt nancy inspires me to write on this thing b/c she reads it on occasion or something. :] i realized how awesome & amazing all my family is. & how important they are in my life. God has been working in my life quite a bit. whether i like it or not, i'm not gonna avoid it. i need Him. He'll do what's best & i'm learning to roll with the changes in my life & trusting Him. well..i'm gonna go to work. -kAtE | | |
| i like facebook. but xanga should still live. at least partially. because its prettier. & doesn't have so much crappy advertising & awkward applications. schools aiiight. only 8 weeks left of my junior year. i'm psyched about being a senior. i write it all over everything. just for fun. plusss, these last 8 weeks will include sPiRiT wEeK, school day out, and trackk & field day! wahoo. convention has come & gone. lots of great memories. new friendships. medals. sore feet. i especially liked how we weren't hated this year like we usually are. since we're the biggest school, we're usually strongly disliked..& this year was different. my favorite school was dayspring from chicago. they were basically the most amaaazing ever. we're gonna visit. & hang out. it'll be a fun time. <3 here's some pics.
